The idea of Sungazing has been around since ancient times. Sungazing is a practice that includes gazing at the Sun for nourishment or as a spiritual practice. However, it has been linked to moderate to permanent eye damage due to Solar Radiation. It's really up to the listener to judge if this is an empty practice or if (not unlike the idea of a Crystal Skull) it benefits a human through means of spiritual evolution.
