This is a sad song (but you can't tell from the riffz) It's about a mother who takes her family away from the cities in an Ancient Empire because of harsh government rule. She sacrifices herself and her family to the protector of the woods so that they may finally live in peace (either by ending their lives or living in another life) This is one of those songs I'd like to hear how people interpret anyway.
